Remnant 2: 9 Best Boss Battles (2024)

Remnant 2’s Soulslike gameplay gives it a rather distinct flavor that attracts the most ardent gamers. If you love a good challenge, Remnant 2 delivers in spades. From the dangerous horde that has invaded the various biomes to the deadly bosses that await you at the end of each world, Remnant 2 does not hold back its punches.

The game also has a collection of pretty unique bosses that are a blend of medieval fantasy and science fiction thrown into the grinder and dipped in Lovecraftian horror. They don’t only look cool; they are also a handful to take down in the best possible way.

9 Corrupted Ravager

Remnant 2: 9 Best Boss Battles (1)

The Corrupted Ravager is found in Losomn and is one of the relatively more forgiving boss fights in the game. It takes its sweet time going into position for an attack, which leaves plenty of time for you to pump it full of lead. Most of its attacks come in the form of fast lunges, and it will slash at you ferociously if you are within striking range.

Keep dodging its attacks and going for its weak points whenever the opportunity arises. The Corrupted Ravager’s slow wind-up also allows you to hit it with heavy weapons and gives you ample time to move out of the way, but this poses a slightly higher risk. As long as you focus on the 'hit-and-run' strategy, and switching between main and secondary weapons when needed, you will be able to take this boss down without much trouble.

8 Fae Impostor King

Remnant 2: 9 Best Boss Battles (2)

The Fae Impostor King boss battle will either be against Fealin or Faerin; your choices will determine which of the two you will face. Both are pretty much identical with their move sets, with the main difference being the arena. Strap in, as the Fae Impostor King has a reputable selection of attacks that will force you to keep on your toes.

This boss fight requires razor-sharp focus on your part, as the dynamic set of attacks that the Fae Impostor King throws at you can easily put you down for the count if you get careless. A slow and strategic approach is the best route to beating Faelin or Faerin.

In true Soulslike fashion, this boss battle enters a second phase once you reduce the boss’ health down to half. Now, floating spectral swords will be included in the projectiles that you need to avoid. Once you whittle the Fae Impostor King’s health down to 25 percent, both orb and sword attacks will be in play in the arena. The silver lining here is that, in terms of damage output, the Fae Impostor King is on the lower tier of the bracket.

7 Tal Ratha

Remnant 2: 9 Best Boss Battles (3)

Triggering the boss fight against Tal Ratha requires some unconventional steps, but if you wish to get your hands on one of the more unique and powerful heavy melee weapons in the game, you will need to take this bad boy down. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that Tal Ratha is your typical lumbering boss, as while he does move awkwardly, his strikes are lightning fast when he gets you within range.

Tal Ratha also throws some powerful long-range projectile attacks that are in your best interest to avoid at all costs. He's dangerous at close range and fatal at long range. If that wasn’t enough, Tal Ratha can also teleport around the arena and bombard the area with AOE attacks.

6 The Red Prince

Remnant 2: 9 Best Boss Battles (4)

The Red Prince is an optional boss that you will encounter in Losomn. Claiming to be the true king, he demands tribute in the form of coins when you meet him. You can opt to pay him or fight him. However, if you don’t have enough coins with you, the boss fight will automatically trigger. Paying the tribute of three coins will net you an additional crafting material that is essential if you want to make the Blood Draw weapon mod.

The Red Prince is one of the cooler-looking boss fights in the game, with his flaming crown and blood-red armor. On his own, The Red Prince is manageable, but since he will be summoning minions throughout the fight, the arena can get crowded and messy. If you have water-based attacks, now is the time to use them, and make sure to aim for his head for maximum damage.

5 Corruptor

Remnant 2: 9 Best Boss Battles (5)

The Corruptor is a boss fight that will not give you any quarters from the get-go. The first thing the Corruptor will do is summon a four-armed guardian to stand between you and him. While taking down the guardian is not mandatory to beat the boss, you definitely should, as it can quickly ruin your well-laid plans. Aim for the guardian’s head and knock it out as fast as possible, and then throw everything you have at the Corruptor until the guardian regenerates.

The boss fight will occur on a somewhat narrow platform. Be careful, as you can fall off the edge, so keeping the Corruptor and guardian within view is essential. You will also need to jump to a different platform during the second phase of this boss fight, as the Corruptor will start shooting powerful, unavoidable beams. This is one of the more intense boss fights in the game thanks to the addition of some crucial platforming mechanics.

4 Labyrinth Sentinel

Remnant 2: 9 Best Boss Battles (6)

A completely different and unique boss fight not only in Remnant 2 but in video games in general, the Labyrinth Sentinel isn’t exactly a fight in the traditional sense, as it is more like a puzzle that you need to solve while trying not to die. Not only will you need to contend with several of these strange, gigantic cube enemies, but you will also need to do so while navigating a rather confusing maze.

You can only damage the Labyrinth Sentinels by shooting the glowing cubes that float alongside them. Having to beat one can be a handful in such a tight maze-like arena, but seven all at once? The Labyrinth Sentinel is also divided into two groups: four floating in the air and three rolling on the ground.

Not only will you need to take down the floating ones as soon as possible, as they love to rain down laser beams at you, but you will also need to be consciously aware of the positioning of the ones on the ground as they can easily squash you if you let them. This is one of those boss fights that will be teetering between infuriating and challenging, but once you do beat it, it feels gratifying like a thorn being removed from your side.

3 The Nightweaver

Remnant 2: 9 Best Boss Battles (7)

The Nightweaver undoubtedly ranks up there as one of the hardest bosses in the game. This boss fight goes through two tough phases. The first phase will have the Nightweaver in a small courtyard where you will need to overcome her minions, fast lunging attacks, powerful ground slams, and projectiles. The second phase will throw you into the asylum, where the Nightweaver will add some cheap sneak attacks to take you out.

The Nightweaver is incredibly aggressive during both phases, and you will find yourself almost always on the defensive. Keep dodging her attacks and aiming for her glowing weak point at her chest, and you will eventually overcome this ferocious and nightmarish boss.

2 Sha’Hala

Remnant 2: 9 Best Boss Battles (8)

Found in the futuristic hellscape world of N’Erud, Sha’Hala is a demonic spectral creature that comes with powerful laser beam attacks and frustrating homing orbs. It will also envelop the arena in darkness while placing vortexes that will pull you and limit your mobility. Defeating Sha’Hala will require skill and effective teamwork.

Despite what sounds like a brutal boss fight, Sha’Hala is one of the best in Remnant 2, as it demands mastery of the mechanics and weapons of the game to its fullest.

1 Annihilation

Remnant 2: 9 Best Boss Battles (9)

Annihilation is the final boss of Remnant 2, and it more than lives up to its name. It has dragon-like features and will fly around the arena while throwing projectiles at you. Most of its attacks during the first phase are easily telegraphed except for the ground slam, which you need to learn how to detect when it's coming.

The second phase is just as brutal, but Annihilation can now trap you within a narrow area where you will need to dodge a series of vicious attacks. This boss fight is indeed worthy of being the last and best one, as it is a grueling battle that will require you to have the best gear if you wish to survive.
